Chiropractic Care
Chiropractic is a form of healthcare that primarily looks at your spine and how it moves. A chiropractor is trained to check for areas of your spine that aren’t functioning properly, and then correct this through a course of chiropractic adjustments. The goal of the adjustment is to improve the connection between your brain and body, which helps to facilitate your body’s ability to heal naturally.
Individualised Techniques
The adjustment is performed either manually or with the use of an instrument. Sometimes you will hear a clicking or popping sound, this is simply the release of gas, like when you open a can of fizzy drink. The specific technique chosen for you is recommended based on your problem, age and preferences.
The adjustment process will be described and explained to you before your first adjustment.
Every adjustment builds on the one before, adding up to significant changes over time.
Conditions We Commonly offer Relief for in the Practice:
- Joint Pain
- Postural Issues
The majority of our practice members will initially contact us due to their symptoms or pain. The first stage of care focuses on your main complaint and getting you to feel, function and move better. We encourage practice members to actively participate in their care by completing simple home exercises to reinforce the effect of the adjustments on their body.
The second stage, the most important, focusses on strengthening and stabilising your spine and surrounding structures to enable your body to function at its best. This is where we see practice members start to get back to their activities and hobbies to previous levels.
Once you’ve gone through the first two stages, we offer wellness or maintenance care. As the name indicates, this stage is designed to help combat the impact daily stresses have on your body and to keep you at your best.
