It seems some aspect of ‘health’ is always in the news, whether it’s the Ebola outbreak, flu “season” or the newest cholesterol medication. Most of the buzz surrounding health tells us of some new high tech advancement of the latest wonder drug. Yet despite all of this new technology, research and medications we are getting sicker than ever.

According to the World Health Organization, “Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.”

Yet for many our health is something we ignore or take for granted, until obvious symptoms arise. This has created a culture that is largely reactive and defensive when it comes to matters of health.

Reactive Or Proactive?

Many begin chiropractic care because they are in some kind of pain (reactive). People are often surprised that chiropractic care is actually about restoring the integrity of their nervous system, which controls every cell,  tissue and organ of the body.
